Charlotte Hutchings is a Creative Director whose talent is bringing brands’ stories to life. Combining her discerning sense of taste and style with her visual and design knowledge, Charlotte has led teams in designing successful product lines and marketing them to the consumer. Born in England, her love of design, print and color began at a young age shadowing her mother at her interior design studio. She has lived and traveled throughout Europe and incorporates those experiences and influences into her creative work.
Charlotte started her career in PR at Ralph Lauren and in advertising at a men’s lifestyle magazine in NY. She then moved to San Francisco and worked at a home textile company before pursuing her career at the lifestyle brand Nautica. During her 15 years at Nautica, Charlotte oversaw the home design division, visual and style departments and finally, the brands creative vision and global product licensing businesses. After consulting on interior and design projects for private clients and lifestyle companies, Charlotte is currently the Creative Director at One Kings Lane.
In addition to her work, Charlotte has been a trained ballet dancer for over 20 years. She has shared her love of dance with children, as a volunteer teacher at a non-profit dance foundation in Harlem.
Charlotte spends her spare time at her country house in the Berkshires - close to her summer camp, where she worked for years, volunteers and has been a member of its Alumni board. Charlotte holds a BA degree from William Smith Colleges and accredited courses at The New School and FSU International Programs. She resides in the West Village in New York City.
